Most everyone has heard about Katie-Anne 's wreck on Mar 16; however, each one says they have heard something different about the wreck or her condition. She was traveling north on County Road 200 about 7pm. At the intersection with Rasch Rd (16), the other car failed to stop and hit her in the drivers door, sending her car many yards sideways. It took 2 jaws of life over an hour to extract her from the car. After stabilizing her, she was med-flighted to Huntsville hospital. The ER Dr told us she had multiple fractures in the left side of her body and a bad concussion. Broken sternum and ribs, broken finger, sprained hand, 3 pelvic fractures, broken area above tailbone and possible broken knee (later xray showed not broken) She isn't supposed to put weight on her left leg or the tailbone and pelvic fractures could shift out of place. After a day or so we discovered she had lost eyesight in the right eye. That has not resolved and all her pain, especially in her head has been non stop & horrible. We were hoping to get referrals to other doctors to get answers and help her recover her health and eyesight.
Things were looking up when April 1st, Tuesday afternoon, Katie-Anne passed out at her parents home where she has been staying and hit the floor. She was totally unresponsive for about 10 min. Shortly after she was rushed to NAMC in an ambulance and are now after more test, we know she had a seizure due to her brain bleeding. She's now in critical ICU at NAMC and is being treated.
Katie has a very long road to recovery. She has a home, bills, animals, a child, family. She is not able to work and the Dr says she may not get her eye site back.
We cannot possibly express the gratitude we feel toward everyone that has prayed, called, texted, visited, brought food and helped us. But sadly it's not a drop in the bucket to what Katie-Anne is facing in expenses. We have no idea when she will be able to work again. Your continued prayers to The Lord our God are still coveted. We are asking for help for Katie-Anne. Any amount or gesture will help. Even if it's a simple as praying for our Katie-Anne. Lord our God is the great phycian and we know she is in good hands.
God Bless you and thank you.
