Support Kat with her Breast Cancer Battle

Our dearest friend Kat was given the most frightening diagnosis November 2021.

Diagnosed with HERS+, an aggressive and quickly metastasizing form of Breast Cancer, her treatment journey will be a long one. Our goal is to raise enough money to cover all of her out-of-pocket medical expenses and any unforeseen bills that may come her way during this very trying time.

Her sense of selflessness and humanitarian drive is contagious and for all of us that know her, the least we can do for her at this time is to rid her the financial stresses associated with this diagnosis.

Once diagnosed, her team of doctors quickly implanted her venous access port and got her started on Chemotherapy. Her challenging 6 cycles of Chemotherapy came with all of the unimaginable side effects. which even landed her in the hospital for a week, yet she never complained once. During the entirety of Phase I, she remained the radiating, smiling, optimistic, and compassionate Kat.

Phase II will take place May 20, 2022. She will undergo a double mastectomy to eliminate the quickly metastasizing potential of the residual cancer.

Phase II(of many) will include extensive reconstruction. Eventually she will receive hormone therapy, followed by a lifetime of maintenance.

Your financial contributions will be a continuous reminder of how much she is loved and supported by all of you- her community, - ...her extended family. 

Although your contribution is monetary, the impact is spiritual. The financial comfort will afford her the stability to focus solely on herself and a full recovery,.... and most importantly, her beautiful daughter Sam.

I want to give to Kat, what she always gives to others. She gives us all a sense of love, of hope, of happiness and most of all peace.

She has taught us that when we come together as a communtiy, we can truly make a difference.

Kat is the Executive Director for the Cincinnati ToolBank, a nonprofit organization that provides tools, equipment, and expertise to charitable organizations, empowering them to achieve their most ambitious goals.

She also serves on the Madisonville Community and Urban Redevelopment board of directors, as well as the Invest in Neighborhoods' board.

When something doesn't go quite right, I love that she says "But it'll be ok.” …And it always is.

"It'll be perfect." she says. And she is always right. Things are always "perfect...." when she is around.

Kat has been one of the greatest humans I have been honored to call my friend. She is so much. She is so many things. and has a great impact on my life.

While she isn't busy being the best mom imaginable, trying to save the world, or battling cancer, she selflessly dedicates her time to others.
