Hi, my name is Nancy. I’m a fellow College of the Sequoias student, and over time I’ve grown close to my friend Joyful, a hardworking student athlete who has always shown strength, kindness, and dedication on and off the court. Today, he and his fiancée, Kidist, are facing an unimaginable heartbreak after the unexpected loss of their newborn son.

No parent should ever have to experience this kind of pain, and no family should have to navigate it alone. I’m organizing this fundraiser to help relieve some of the financial burden during a time when their only focus should be grieving, healing, and supporting each other.

Any contribution — large or small — will go directly toward funeral arrangements, time off, and essential needs as they work through this devastating loss. Thank you for showing Joyful and Kidist that their COS family and community are standing with them during this incredibly difficult time.
