Support Joey's Battle Against Breast Cancer

UPDATE:Just an update as of Wednesday may 29th, Joey has signed her consent forms for operation. She received her itemized bill for 30k thats just the beginning. She will meet with the plastic surgeon on Friday and will await the surgery date. She also had the Genetic testing done and it was negative

As many of you already know, my younger sister Joey was diagnosed with high grade DCIS with comedo necrosis — Breast Cancer. The cancer is Stage 0 which is a relief but we found out it’s Grade 3 which is aggressive. We found out her right breast had been taken hostage by a mass, and our hopes for a simple lumpectomy were dashed. Joey will need a double mastectomy.

The timing of this is unfortunate because Joey and her husband have been in a month’s long battle with their insurance company, the result of which leaves them uninsured. Joey is a full time mommy to three little ones and although Vito’s work is seasonal, he will be needing to take time off to care for Joey and the kids. I started this Go-Fund-Me to to help Joey and Vito with their impending medical bills. Let’s rally around Joey and donate what we can to help her focus on her health and family.
