Support Jerome Poyer and Lynn Margaret After Tragic Loss

My name is Julie Hale and I am trying to get some financial help for my dear friends, my Navajo family, Jerome Poyer and his mother, Lynn Margaret, and their family.



Their pickup truck was totaled in the driveway of their home in Lancaster, TX by a man in a stolen car. The driver stole a car, struck Jerome’s pickup truck, fled the scene and the driver was later killed.

Jerome’s truck only carried liability insurance. Since the car was stolen, the insurance covering the car that struck Jerome’s pickup will not pay for a claim. AND since the perpetrator died, Jerome & Lynn can’t even attempt to recoup damages from him!

Jerome is a very skilled Navajo Silversmith- which means his income is based on what people can afford to commission or purchase - in today’s economy, much of Jerome’s silversmithing sits unsold in inventory.

Jerome is stranded, unable to do the simplest tasks without his pickup truck….

He is unable to take Lynn to her doctor appointments.

He is unable to run basic errands like grocery shopping and going to the post office.

To add insult to injury, Lynn’s daughter/Jerome’s sister, Freda, recently died in her home in southern Colorado. Lynn and Jerome are unable to attend to Freda’s funeral and are unable to be surrounded by loved ones in this time of tragic loss.

Please help me help Lynn and Jerome acquire replacement transportation with a generous donation to this GoFundMe…. We KNOW we will never raise enough money to anything brand new…. But the ability to purchase a reliable vehicle is imperative - the sooner the better!!!
