Support Jason Schlotta's Battle with Cancer
Donación protegida
Let me introduce you to Jason Schlotta. I work directly with Jason. In mid-2024, while working, he started breaking out in hives and getting extreme fevers. After a couple of weeks, he realized this wasn't the flu or an allergic reaction and went to the doctor for tests. It was discovered that Jason has cancer, and shortly after, he was scheduled at the University of Michigan hospital to have a Whipple procedure to remove the cancer that was wrapped around his duodenum. This was a very invasive surgery. He was in the hospital for a long time and had to take 5 weeks off of work. Things seemed to go well, and within a couple of months, he was successfully working at 100 percent. Jason went back in for his check-up when they noticed a new growth on his liver. The doctors pulled a sample, and the cancer is back. Fortunately, it has not spread through his body, and we are all hopeful that he can beat this over the next 6 months. He had a chemo port installed in the beginning of February. He is doing his best to work as much as possible, but chemo wreaks havoc on the body. This has stressed his family to the max, not only emotionally but financially. Jason is the type of guy that would give a stranger the shirt off his back. He is a hardworking and loving family man. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
