On July 15th, I'm undergoing a kidney transplant, a major and life-changing surgery. While I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to move forward with this, it also means temporarily stepping away from my business and income during recovery.

As a self-employed business owner, I don’t have sick leave or short-term disability. When I’m not working, I’m not earning. I’ll be taking most of July and part of August off to prepare, heal, and avoid complications. That means missing several weeks of income while still managing regular bills, family responsibilities, and new costs like medication, travel, meals, and childcare.

So here I am, humbly asking: If you’re in a place to contribute, thank you. If you’re not in a place to give, sharing this would mean a lot.

Your support, big or small, will help cushion my family during this window and allow me to focus on getting back on my feet without pushing too hard, too soon.
