For more than 125 years, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Helena, Nebraska has stood as a beacon of faith, history, and community. Built in 1896-1897 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this beautiful Gothic Revival church has served generations of families, marking baptisms, weddings, funerals, and countless moments of prayer and fellowship.

Today, this historic landmark faces a critical challenge.

The church is in urgent need of extensive tuckpointing and structural repairs to preserve the building for future generations. Through the generosity and determination of our small rural parish community, we have already raised $135,000 and completed the most critical repairs, including work on the roof. However, an additional $400,000 is needed to complete the restoration and ensure the long-term stability of this treasured church.

St. Helena is a small farming community, but its people have worked tirelessly to save this historic landmark. While we continue to do everything we can locally, the scope of the project exceeds what our small parish can accomplish alone.

Just seven miles away, our sister parish, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska, designed by the same architect, Josef Schwartz, faces similar challenges. That parish has already raised $250,000 toward essential repairs but still needs an additional $750,000 to fully restore and preserve its historic church.

Together, these two churches represent an important piece of Nebraska's religious, cultural, and architectural heritage.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to preserving these historic treasures. While both churches require significant restoration, the funds raised through this campaign will be used for repairs to Immaculate Conception Church in St. Helena, as it is currently in the most critical condition and in immediate need of structural repairs.

Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support.
