I'm Miroslava Lawton, and I'm raising funds for my friend Herminia Castillo. She and I grew up together in Venezuela and have been good friends since then. Herminia arrived in the U.S. about 6 years ago along with her two children, Luis Felipe and Isabella. She moved her family looking for a safer place to finish raising them, running away from political persecution.

In 2023, her life took a sharp turn when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor, and life hasn't been the same since then. After recovery time, Herminia tried to go back to work for a while, but the cancer came back, forcing her to stay home. Bills are piling up, and her two children are trying to cover all of her expenses, but money is tight.

Herminia, along with her family, decided to avoid chemotherapy because of the harsh side effects, and now she's currently under the care of an Integrative Medicine doctor. The protocol she's under is very costly, and she can't continue because it's not affordable anymore. She has a lot of faith in God and this protocol she follows. I'm asking you to help her cause so she can continue to fight, so she can continue to make her dreams come true in this new country she now calls home.
