Herb has been a dedicated member of the Putnam City School District for 46 years, touching countless lives across the OKC Metro area. On December 18th, 2025, Herb suffered a severe heart attack and has been in the hospital ever since. Tomorrow, he faces a triple bypass open heart surgery—a major procedure that will require a long and challenging recovery. As a co-worker and friend, I have seen firsthand how much Herb means to our community and how selflessly he has given his time and support to others.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Herb’s medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance. In addition, your support will help his family with transportation, meals, and the many unexpected costs that come with a lengthy hospital stay and recovery. Herb will be unable to work for some time, and easing the financial burden will allow him and his loved ones to focus on healing and being together.
