Hi! So as many of yall know my niece was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in 9 fractured ribs, a tear in her aorta, a ruptured spleen that had to be removed, a tear to the pancreas(which now has a large infected pseudo cyst that has to be drained and a stent is needed again in the pancreas) and some other internal damage. After spending nearly 3 weeks at Lafayette general she was transferred to Herman Memorial hospital in Houston where she will need another surgery to repair a pseudo aneurysm, another surgery to drain the cyst on her pancreas and depending on findings from her PET scan possibly other procedures. My sister has missed almost a month of work and is with her in Houston and my brother in law is traveling back and forth and is now out of vacation days.
