My mom, Gail Royal, has always been a fighter, but this past year has tested her strength and faith in ways we never imagined. Last year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and bravely faced chemotherapy, enduring overwhelming side effects that took a huge toll on her body. Since April 2026, Gail has been in and out of hospitals, battling everything from dehydration and lung clots to meningitis, septic, seizures, heart failure, and multiple infections. The road to recovery has been long and difficult, affecting her both physically and mentally.
For decades, Gail has been a cornerstone of Montgomery, Alabama, running one of the longest-standing meat-and-three country cooking restaurants since 1993. She has given back to her community in countless ways, donating her time and business to raise money for others, earning a national restaurant association award, and serving on several boards and organizations. Gail’s love for the Lord and her generosity have touched so many lives. Her restaurant has always been a place where people gather for good food, conversation, and kindness.
As Gail fights for her health, her business is struggling. Business has slowed down, and unexpected expenses have piled up for her, both medical and at the cafe. I am doing everything I can to keep the café open and support her recovery, but hospital bills that insurance hasn’t covered and the slowdown in business have made it hard to keep the doors open. My mom has given back to so many people, and I’m asking that not only do you pray but please come and visit and eat at the café. If you can donate anything, it would help relieve a tremendous burden for her, so she doesn’t come out of the hospital with extra stress. Thank you for helping in any way possible so my mom can focus on healing and we can focus on keeping this legacy alive.
