Support Fred Pearce's Battle Against Cancer

Dear Family and Friends:

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in supporting my brother-in-law, Fred Pearce, who is courageously battling Stage 3 rectal cancer, diagnosed in April of 2025. This diagnosis has been a life-altering challenge for my brother-in-law and my sister, Kelli, who are both struggling—physically, emotionally, and now financially. Fred underwent surgery in April to help relieve pain and regain strength but the road at that point was just beginning.

The Fight for Fred’s Life

Fred has always been a rock for his family and community—kind, generous, and ever willing to lend a helping hand. Now, as he faces aggressive treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, Fred needs our help more than ever.

Over the years, Fred and Kelli have worked tirelessly in building a sense of financial security for when they would retire. Unfortunately, Fred has not been able to work since he was diagnosed and the financial resources they had set aside have now been depleted with travel expenses and everyday living costs.

My sister has stood by his side through every step of this journey. However, the emotional strain has been immense. Watching her husband endure daily pain and struggle while trying to juggle the responsibilities of caring for him, all while handling her own fears, has taken a profound emotional toll.

How Your Donations Will Help

Fred’s journey to recovery is just beginning, and the road ahead is long. He just finished 30 treatments of radiation to his cancer site which required trips to Altoona Hospital Monday through Friday for the last 6 weeks. The week of July 21st, Fred will begin his chemotherapy which will last for the next 4 to 5 months with the strong possibility of needing another surgery by Christmas. Your donations will directly ease some of the burdens they are both facing so that they can focus on Fred’s health and well-being, without the added weight of financial worry.
