Our dog Francesca needs emergency surgery.

Yesterday was a normal day of playing in her front yard with her kids, and chillin by the little pool on our 2 acre farm.

Around 3am Francesca’s breathing changed and it woke me up. We got up, took a little potty break, walked, and ate a couple treats but her breathing continued in shallow, loud, rough, forceful breaths for the next several hours. I knew we had to get her to the Vet, so we called everywhere, drove to Grays Harbor county and rushed her in. They sedated her and examined her to rule out any quick fixes or possible obstructions. After several hours of observation and exams they have determined that she has Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome and needs emergency surgery costing approximately $12000. I have about half that in my savings account.

We should be celebrating our Francesca’s second birthday this month and I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t try and do what I can to save her. She is my girls very best friend. I hope with this money we will be able to give her the best chance of survival.
