Zach has recently been diagnosed with telangiectatic osteosarcoma, which is an extremely rare variant of osteosarcoma.  To win this bout,  Zach will travel to the University of Minnesota to have 6  different chemotherapy cycles.  Each cycle is 43 days with 15 of those days consisting of infusions where Zach has drips administered every minute with a pack attached to his hip.  The infusions contain cisplatin, doxorubicin and methotrexate.  After the fourth treatment cycle,  Zach will have surgery to remove the upper third of his fibula bone.  Zach's muscles will then be reattached to the tibia.  He will hopefully be able to walk 10 days after.  This will be a battle. Thankfully he’s extremely resilient and with the strength of his family and friends it’s a battle he’s ready for. These procedures and treatments will be expensive even after insurance.
