Support for Tim's Kidney Transplant Journey

My dad, Tim, is having a kidney transplant this week. He is receiving his kidney through the living paired match program. My sister, Megan, was accepted into the paired match program in Dec 2021. The paired match program allows loved ones to donate their kidney indirectly to their loved one. They are part of a 6-way swap, 3 recipients and 3 donors. They will both have their surgery the same day this week. Megan's kidney traveling to her recipient and my dad's new kidney traveling to Rochester for his surgery. I am organizing a fundraiser on behalf of my parents to help them with expenses. My dad will have daily appointments and must be within minutes of the hospital for the first 4 weeks after his surgery. They will be living in a hotel during this time. After this first stage they will allow him to be at home because he lives within an hour of the hospital. They will continue to attend many appointments each week and travel back and forth to Rochester. They will also both be out of work during this time.
