Support for the Shick Family
Donation protected
As many of you know, the Shick family is going through a difficult time. Melissa, Bobby, and their family mean so much to many of us, and now is our chance to show them some extra love and support.
Over the weekend, Melissa took Bobby to the ER where they discovered he had a brain bleed. He was quickly transferred to Evansville, and upon arrival, was taken into surgery. Doctors found a subarachnoid hemorrhage and fluid around his brain. They placed a drain to relieve the pressure, and he is expected to remain in the hospital for 7 to 14 days—though that is still uncertain, and he could be there longer depending on his recovery.
This has been an incredibly scary and overwhelming experience—one that could have ended much worse. Bobby definitely has some guardian angels watching over him. While he’s not completely in the clear, he is doing better each day.
We’re organizing a collection to help ease the burden on the Shick family during this time. This is to help Melissa and Bobby with anything that may come their way—fuel for Melissa to travel back and forth, food expenses, medical bills, and any other unexpected costs. The future is unknown, and every bit of support helps.
If you’d like to contribute, donations can be made in the following ways:
• GoFundMe
• Venmo: @Melissa-Shick-7
• Cash or Gift Cards: I, Amanda Wright, am happy to meet up to collect any in-person donations
• Cards or Donations: Can also be dropped off with Becky at Cuttin’ Up
Once Bobby is home from the hospital, we will also be organizing a meal train to help ease the stress of daily meal prep during this time of recovery.
Your kindness and support mean the world to the Shick family right now.
