The Diagnosis
On Monday August 19th, Malia Carr was suddenly diagnosed with a rare malignant brain tumor, anaplastic astrocytoma, grade III aggression. Due to the rapid growth of the tumor, immediate brain surgery was necessary on 8/23/2019. Following the surgery there will be 3.5 weeks of recovery, and then radiation and chemo therapy will take place 5 days a week for 6 weeks.
About The Carr Family
For those who have never been graced by Malia's presence, she is the baby of 12 siblings, and is arguably the toughest, most resilient of them all. She is the tie that binds us all together. Mia is kind, thoughtful and bursting with love for her family and friends. She is an incredibly dedicated wife and mother to her children, Max (5), Emmie (4) and Lily (5 months), and step son Aiden (12).
How To Help
The sudden diagnosis has shaken all of us to the core. We are doing what we know best, banding together ready to fight this diagnosis with Malia.
This page has been created to share how special Malia is, offer your positive thoughts and prayers through this journey, and to graciously ask for your help in the fight with us.
Your generous donation will go toward helping the Carr family with living expenses, medical and monthly finances.
Aloha and many, many thanks for your support,
