We are heartbroken to share that Steve Karp passed away on January 14th, 2026, at the age of 76. Steve is survived by his brother Gerry, his four children: Jacob (24), Ryan (21), Avery (19), and Delilah (17) Karp, and bonus children Bianca & Christian.

Steve was someone who lived life on his own terms and did things his own way. He appreciated the journey just as much as the destination. When we were younger, he would take us on family road trips and he loved to always stop so we could read roadside information signs. Steve took the long way but always made sure everyone got where they wanted to go, even if it meant extra miles or extra time. That was just Steve.

He had his favorites and stuck to them: Paul Anka playing in the background, polo shirts, socks and sandals, and you would always find him watching football games. Steve wasn’t flashy, but he was consistent and memorable in his own quiet way. He was a part of many of our childhood memories and left an impression that won’t be forgotten.

We are asking for help to cover funeral and service expenses, and to support his children’s mother during this extremely difficult time. All donations will go toward Steve’s services and helping our mom with expenses. She is currently out of work after having her kidney removed due to cancer on January 13th, just one day before Steve passed, making this time especially overwhelming both emotionally and financially. We would love to make sure she can recover and not to stress out during this time.
