It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved friend and sister, Shawn Marie O’Connor (Smith). Shawn passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2026, leaving behind a deep void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved her.

Shawn was a gifted dance teacher with a true passion for art and music. Through dance, she touched countless lives and gave her students permission to shine—just as she always did. Her laugh was contagious and her spirit impossible to ignore. Shawn was truly a ray of sunshine, the kind of person whose energy lingered long after she left the room.

Above all else, Shawn deeply loved her family. She was a devoted sister to Wayne, Shannon, and Sara, and a proud, loving aunt to her precious 10-year-old niece, Willow. Family was everything to Shawn, and she would never want her passing to place a financial burden on the people she loved so dearly.
