Sai Prasanna Desireddy, a bright and hardworking student in Chicago, wanted to ease the financial burden on her family by transferring to a college with lower fees. During this process, due to a course drop and miscommunication, her SEVIS record was terminated. She was advised to travel to Mexico to resolve the matter, but tragically, what was meant to be a short trip turned into heartbreak — she was struck by a truck and lost her life
