On New Year's Eve, our beloved father Miguel suffered a massive stroke that has left our family reeling. He is currently in the hospital's ICU, fighting to recover with the support of his partner Reyrey, who has been by his side every day. My sister and I do not live locally, but we immediately flew in to be with him during this critical time. Miguel has always been the heart and caretaker of our home, and his sudden illness has created a wave of uncertainty and worry for all of us.
