It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the unexpected loss of my oldest brother, Matthew Clayton Phillips-Skaggs, on January 8, 2026. Matthew was born on October 3, 1994, and at just 31 years young, his life was taken far too soon. He was an amazing father who loved his children more than anything in this world. Being their dad was his greatest joy in life. He loved to sing, dance, and read to them, teaching them new things and sharing the passions he held close to his heart.
Matthew had a deep love for his family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them. He enjoyed listening to music, being outdoors, and exploring nature. He had a passion for working on motorcycles, dirt bikes, and cars—always finding happiness in fixing and building things with his hands. We loved Matthew dearly, and he will be missed beyond words. The pain our family is experiencing right now is impossible to describe. Matthew was a grandson, son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. In every role he played, he left a lasting impact on those who knew him. His big smile could light up any room, and he always tried to stay positive even during life's hardest moments.
We are asking for help to cover funeral and cremation expenses for our loved one, Matthew Clayton Phillips-Skaggs. This loss was completely unexpected, and the financial burden has added stress during an already painful time. Any donations or shares are deeply appreciated. Thank you all for your kindness, love, and support during this difficult time.
