My name is Andrew Buchanan, and today I am humbly asking for help as my family and I prepare to lay my father, Matthew Thomas Buchanan, to rest.
My father was a loving, compassionate, and incredibly strong man—a devoted father, brother, uncle, son, and friend. He had a heart that gave endlessly, even when he had little himself. If someone needed help, he was there without hesitation, often putting others before his own needs.
He lived simply and asked for very little from this world. That simplicity, his kindness, and his selflessness are what I loved most about him and what so many others will remember.
During this difficult time, any support you are able to offer would mean more to us than words can express. Your kindness will help ease the burden on our family as we honor my father’s life and legacy.
