Support for Mary Alice Murphy's Funeral Costs

Hello everyone,

I am starting a fund to assist in the funeral and associated costs after we lost one of THE most important key members of our family. My Mother-in-law, Mary Alice Murphy, passed away on September 17, 2024 leaving the largest of holes in our hearts. While my wife, Nikki, and her sister, Mary, grieve the passing of their loving Mother, I'm trying my best to take as much burden off their hearts and minds as possible since she, unfortunately, did not have an active life insurance policy.

This section was actually meant to be for me talking about how awesome she was but I can't due to fighting back tears as I'm typing... so just know she was awesome enough to have her son-in-law crying his eyes out. She was truly the opposite from the stereotype of a mother-in-law. She was so caring, thoughtful, compassionate, loving and, most of all, selfless. For those that knew her, she didn't have much. However, that did not stop her from calling us 2-3 times a week telling us she got stuff for the kids that we needed to come by and grab it haha. She loved her grandbabies to the very end and would GLADLY (hehe) hurt anyone that tried to tell her grandbabies "no". She put me so much in mind of Mark 12:41-44, when Jesus taught his disciples how the poor widow giving 2 pieces of copper was way more than what the rich gave. She was the living embodiment of this in our family. Did not matter if she had $7 in her wallet and no money in the bank, she would give that $7 to someone in need before using it for herself.

Although this is not an easy time for our family, I can take solace in knowing that she is with our Lord in Heaven singing with the Angels and waiting to see us again on that glorious day!
