My husband Rich and I are devastated for his southern California family... his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve and cousins' family lost their beloved homes in Altadena to the Eaton Canyon fire on January 7, 2025. Like so many others suffering in that area, everything was destroyed; thankfully they had evacuated, but they didn't have much more than the clothes on their backs with them. Over the years we (the east-coasters) spent many vacations with our kids in Altadena, enjoying visits in their homes full of fun family memories. Rich's cousin Kristina and her husband Edwin had bought and were renovating the grandparents' home, which had been in the family for 75 years.

Their pain is unimaginable, and having to reconstruct their lives is going to be a slow process. If you're able to make a donation to ease their burden a little, we would really appreciate it.
