Ilam Mateo Espinoza Castaneda was a bright, kind, and smart 8-year-old boy who had a whole future ahead of him. He was my sister’s classmate, and his loss has deeply affected our family and the community. Ilam was always eager to learn, and his gentle nature made him a friend to everyone around him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and we want to honor his memory in the best way possible.

On Friday, July 2, Ilam tragically lost his life in a car accident in east Charlotte. His family is now facing the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye, along with unexpected expenses for his cremation. We want to help ease their burden so they can focus on grieving and remembering Ilam for the wonderful child he was.
