My father is a dedicated immigration attorney who has spent his life helping others and standing up for those in need. Recently, our world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of throat cancer. The diagnosis came suddenly, and it has brought with it a wave of challenges that we never expected to face. As someone who has always been there for his community, it is difficult for us to now be in the position of asking for help.
The costs associated with his treatment have quickly become overwhelming. We are raising funds to help cover co-pays for a month spent at MD Anderson, the cost of medical transport from San Antonio to Houston and then Houston to El Paso, travel expenses for ongoing appointments, and the cost of Airbnbs while we were in Houston. In addition, there are ongoing expenses for medical supplies, and my father has lost his ability to work very suddenly, leaving him and his dependents in a vulnerable position. Every donation will go directly toward these urgent needs and will help us focus on his care and recovery.
We want to thank everyone for their love and support during this incredibly difficult time. My father has always given so much to the community, and it is hard to be the ones needing to ask for help now. If you are unable to donate, please consider calling or visiting if you can—he truly loves hearing from everyone. Your kindness, whether through a donation or a simple message, means the world to us and gives us hope as we navigate this journey.
