Support for Haitian Migrants in Mexico City

Donation protected
Since discovering the Haitian migrant community in Mexico City, we have been dedicated to supporting their needs. This resilient group had been living in Plaza Giordano Bruno, enduring harsh conditions in tents for months. Unfortunately, in early June, they were forced out of the park, and many of their essential belongings were discarded. This eviction was due to the illegality of their residence in the park, but the pain and hardship they faced were no less real because of it.

Now, many of these migrants are sleeping on sidewalks, some without even basic necessities like bed mats, covers, or clean clothing. Their situation has become even more dire with 90 of them now cramped into a single apartment near the park where they once lived. While some speak Spanish, many do not, making it challenging for them to secure stable income to pay rent.

Our organization, @TheMove_CDMX puts on a comedy show called 'The Comedy Kickback,' and we have been leveraging our comedy shows as collection drives for donations of food, feminine products, water, and clothing for the homeless. We commit to continuing these efforts every month, but we recognize the need to extend this opportunity to support beyond our audience.

This GoFundMe campaign is set up to raise funds to cover their rent, purchase mats for them to sleep on, and provide other essential items to improve their living conditions. Your support can help make their lives more livable, providing them with the dignity and security they deserve. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
