Hi everyone,

We're starting this campaign to help our dear friend, Ehi, and her family who were in a near catastrophic car accident a few days ago.

The family (Ehi, her partner, their child, and their unborn baby) thankfully made it out alive, albeit with injuries (some ongoing) that forced them to incur unexpected high medical costs. Their only car was also irreparably wrecked and will need to be replaced!

While the family recovers and sorts through the fallout from this traumatic accident, we want to help relieve the immense financial stress and alleviate any additional stressors that could arise by hosting this campaign! Especially since the family was already facing so much while preparing for a new baby. Anything helps and is massively appreciated!

Whether you've met Ehi as a friend, a reader, a colleague, or even in passing acquaintance, it's not hard to experience how loving, warm, and welcoming she is. We're fortunate to call her part of our community and to have cherished memories of times she has shown up for us, going above and beyond! So we're thankful for the opportunity to show up for her now, especially during these terrible circumstances.

Update:

We also want to provide an update on the family's wellbeing and share that dear Ehi is finally home from the hospital, and on bedrest, as she recovered from a concussion and other physical injuries. The medical staffers who attended to her were thankfully able to stop her premature labor and give baby crucial time to grow more in the womb! Her partner and child have also received medical care, and will be seeking more as the need arises.
