Hello, my name is Elena Fielder, owner of Higher Grounds Coffee in Weed, CA.

My mother, Deborah Weckner, passed away unexpectedly this morning, October 27th, 2025 in Encino Hospital Medical Center after spending 3 weeks there after a medical emergency while traveling to see her brother.

I'm raising funds to cremate her and bring her home and for travel expenses. I'm currently in Encino right now trying to make final arrangements with the hospital and the mortuary and also figure out something with her belongings, which will mean several more trips to Encino. Funds are tight, as a lot of people know, I opened the coffee shop just under a year ago, I need help with my Momma, please.
