Support for Christie Mackie's Children

This gofundme page was setup in remembrance of our sister, Christie Mackie, for the benefit of her sons, Charlie and Dylan.

We chose this picture to honor Christie because it shows her with her boys who she loved more than anything in this world and at the beach, enjoying time at one of her favorite places.

Christie was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer earlier this year.  She passed away on Monday, November 16th at the age of 45 after a hard-fought battle.  Christie had a positive attitude and continued to fight her cancer with everything she had until the very end.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, and will be missed dearly by all that had the privilege of knowing her.  She was a kind, thoughtful and patient person.  She was a good listener and always lifted people up when they were down.  She was a giver, but never expected anything in return.  She was intelligent, honest and sincere.  She loved nature, animals and photography. She loved going to the beach, looking for Petoskey stones and stargazing.  Most of all, she loved being a mom and spending time with her family.  Christie was a beautiful bright light in this world.  She took the time to notice life’s hidden little treasures. The world was a better place with her in it.
