Our dear friend and coworker, Cathy Hill, lost her mother exactly 10 months ago and is now facing another unimaginable loss. Her husband, Glen Hill, passed away unexpectedly in a single-vehicle accident on his way to work the morning of December 11th. Losing a loved one is devastating at any time, but experiencing such a tragedy around the holidays makes the pain even heavier. Cathy is now navigating life without her partner of 19 years, her best friend, and the other half of her household.
Glen and Cathy shared a deep love for animals, and their home has always been filled with fur babies—beloved dogs, cherished cats, several feral kitties she faithfully cares for, and two beautiful horses. These animals were their shared joy, and they continue to depend on Cathy every single day. With Glen gone, Cathy has gone from two incomes to one overnight. The financial strain is real and immediate. She has returned to work, but the emotional and financial weight she carries is overwhelming. Feeding and caring for her animals, maintaining her home, and managing everyday expenses—all while grieving—creates a burden no one should have to shoulder alone.
We are asking friends, family, church family, coworkers, and the community to come together in support of Cathy during this heartbreaking time. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial pressure so she can focus on healing. It will help ensure her dogs, cats, feral kitties, and horses continue to receive the care and love they deserve as they, too, adjust to the loss of Glen. Cathy has a long healing journey ahead. Grief is heavy, and the responsibilities she faces each day make it even harder. Time off work should be spent resting, grieving, and rebuilding—not worrying about how to feed her animals or keep up with bills. Please consider making a monetary donation and sharing this link with others. Your kindness will make a meaningful difference in Cathy’s life as she navigates this painful chapter. Thank you for your love, generosity, and prayers for Cathy and her fur family.
