Support for Brittany's Family After Fire

During the early hours of March 20th, 2024 a very dear friend lost their family home due to a fire. Living in the home was my friend Brittany Sarvis, her fiancé (Chris), and her 3 children (all under 8), Brenda Sanders (her grandma), and her 2 sisters (Brently and Kira). As a result of the fire the family not only lost their home, but also lost most of their clothing and belongings; they are starting over with what little they could salvage. The insurance company placed them in temporary housing while they assessed the damage, originally telling them it was a total loss. After a couple weeks in temporary housing, the family was informed that the house was not a total loss, and they were going to have a fire and restoration company come and fix the home, but there was no timeline given on when it would be completed; they were also told they had reached the limit on their temporary housing budget of $16,000 within that ONE month. The family was not given the option to choose where they were placed, nor did they know the cost. They were forced to check out of this hotel today, May 10th, 2024, with nowhere to go. The insurance company has told them to "just wait and let them work on the home," which they just started on May 9th, 2024, over a month after the fire. The insurance company has tragically let this family down. Brenda Sanders has lived in this home for many, many years; she has raised her children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren in this home and now it seems as though it has all been ripped away from her. Mrs. Brenda is a giving woman with a big heart who has always helped anyone in need, so now it's her turn to receive help. Brenda is currently living out of her car, while the rest of the family is couch-surfing, trying to keep their kids on a schedule and taken care of. I am starting this GoFundMe to try and help this family purchase necessities that they lost in the fire, and hopefully help them find some kind of temporary housing. We know everybody can't help out financially, so we will also be taking clothing donations, household donations, and any advice/contacts you may know of to find them temporary housing until their house is deemed livable, I know they would cherish your contribution.
