Support Fencing Club Asheville's New Space Buildout
Donation protected
Fencing Club Asheville, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has secured a full-time, permanent location for the club in West Asheville! But the space needs a little work before we can fully move in.
We're raising funds in two parts: basic space buildout, and then a stretch goal for the cost of a sprung or sport court floor.
Ultimately, we need the space cleared out, a few walls knocked down, and some improvements done first before we can run classes or consider flooring options. Basically, we need to make space for strips. Once that's done, we can start to more fully move our classes and open fencing from its current location at ACS into the new space.
Then, we'll install a floor, which isn't cheap to do, but is necessary. Fencing on concrete isn't sustainable long-term for our athletes' joints. Once the space is cleared out, we'll have a better understanding of our options, but it will likely be either a custom-built sprung floor or sport court.
