The Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office is seeking donations for the family of Emily Tropeano, the daughter of District Attorney’s Office employee Kelly Moran and husband John Moran.

Emily passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2024, at the age of 18. Emily graduated with academic honors on June 7th from Carbondale Area High School. She was a member of the cheerleading squad and did a senior internship with the City of Carbondale. Emily was accepted at the University of Scranton majoring in Criminal Justice and was the recipient of the Loyola Scholarship for her academic excellence. Emily was a beautiful, smart, loyal and vibrant member of her family and community.

We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming community support during this difficult time. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to support Emily’s family for funeral and other incidental expenses incurred during this challenging time.
