Hello friends, family, and colleagues,
I am reaching out with humility to ask for financial help to repair my car. This past year has been a long and difficult journey of fixing one issue after another, and now I’ve reached a point where I simply cannot cover the costs on my own.
Last year, my car completely broke down with so many problems all at once that I couldn’t even name them all. I was forced to take out a very predatory loan (after my bank refused me), and ever since, that loan has taken a huge portion of every paycheck. I will finally have it fully paid off on October 22nd, but until then it continues to drain me financially. On top of that, I am still making car payments and paying off other debts, including UW.
A few weeks ago, one of my tires blew out, and my boyfriend and I used the last of what we had to replace two of them. That left us with nothing to spare. Now, my back brakes have completely failed, and my front brakes are wearing down quickly — leaving me with only those front brakes to stop my car. This is terrifying and unsafe, but unfortunately my car is the only way I can get to work.
Since I just recently moved out on my own, I don’t have savings to fall back on — and with the ongoing loan payments, I don’t qualify for another loan until my credit improves. This is why I am turning to you all for help.
My goal is to raise at least $3,000 to repair both my back and front brakes so that my car will be safe enough to get through the winter. If I am blessed to receive anything beyond that, it will go toward other urgent car needs (such as an oil leak, replacing two more worn tires, or fixing a broken lifter), as well as catching up on rent and other debts.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this with others. Truly, any amount helps more than I can express, and I am deeply grateful for your kindness and support during this very difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
With Gratitude,
