Story

Dr. Nolan R. Williams, M.D. was not only a groundbreaking psychiatrist and neuroscientist, he was a husband, father, mentor, and friend whose life’s work changed the landscape of mental health treatment. Through his pioneering research at Stanford, his mentorship of young clinicians, and his deep compassion for patients, Nolan gave everything he had to help others heal.

On October 8, 2025, Nolan passed away unexpectedly. He poured himself fully into his mission, often investing his own resources, energy, and heart into helping others find hope where there was none. Now, the community that he built and inspired has the opportunity to give back to the people he loved most: his wife, Dr. Kristin Raj, and their two young children aged 5 and 2.

This fund will provide both immediate and longer-term support for Kristin and the family, helping cover living and childcare expenses, counseling, and education funds for their children, as well as creating space for Kristin to grieve and rebuild.
