Support Dominic Anderson's Fight Against Lymphoma

Friends, Family and Neighbors,
As the holidays approach, our dear friends Mike and Catie Anderson have been devastated by news that one of their 6 beautiful children -- their oldest son, Dominic -- was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma.
A week ago, when Dominic began experiencing pain in his chest and shoulder, Catie had him schedule a Doctor’s visit. The Doctor ordered a Chest X-Ray. When the images revealed a large amount of fluid in Dominic’s lungs, he was sent to the Emergency Room immediately. The ER Physicians drained several liters of fluid from his chest and ordered more tests. CT Scanning revealed multiple cancerous tumors spreading across his body, with several attached to several vital organs, including one large tumor wrapping around his aorta.
Following a battery of tests and several difficult discussions between Hospital Staff and the Andersons, Dominic was transferred to the Oncology Ward at Kaiser Permanente in Roseville.

For those of you who know the Andersons, you know there isn’t a more loving, more outgoing, and more charitable family.
Mike and Catie work tirelessly to provide for their family of 8, yet they will never once hesitate to put their own priorities on hold to help a friend or neighbor in need. Together they have raised an incredible family of honest, hardworking, conscientious people who care as much for one another as for the world around them.
With this fundraiser, we are hoping to return a small amount of the charity and empathy that the Andersons have shown us and our children throughout the years. Mike and Catie are not asking for financial help, but they will need it for uncovered medical expenses as well as copays and deductibles; travel, food, and childcare accommodations; and most importantly, for time taken off work to be with their family during their critical time of need.
--------------
Dominic began his first dose of chemotherapy on Saturday morning. He is in good spirits, according to Catie, but he is understandably shaken. Thankfully the hospital has chosen to treat him as a youth patient, thereby allowing Mom and Dad to remain by his side day and night…where they have stayed.
Dominic will remain in the hospital until after Thanksgiving, so for those fortunate to enjoy the holiday with families and friends, please keep the Andersons in your thoughts and hearts.
