DES Justice UK is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Diethylstilbestrol (DES), a synthetic hormone prescribed to pregnant women between the 1940s and 1970s.

Many people are only now discovering that they were exposed to DES before birth. For some, this knowledge has come after years of unanswered questions about their health and wellbeing. Others remain unaware that they may have been affected.

Our mission is simple: to raise awareness, provide support, encourage research, and ensure that the voices of those affected by DES are heard.

Why We Need Your Support

For too long, DES has remained a largely forgotten chapter in medical history.

For many families, DES has had a profound and lasting impact. Individuals affected by DES have experienced cancers associated with DES exposure, fertility and reproductive health issues, and other long-term health concerns. There is also growing interest in understanding whether DES exposure may be linked to a wider range of health conditions, including autoimmune disorders, and how its effects may extend across generations.

Many people have spent decades searching for answers, often unaware that they were exposed to DES before birth. Others have only recently discovered their exposure and are now trying to better understand the potential implications for themselves and their families.

DES Justice UK is committed to raising awareness, supporting affected families, promoting education and encouraging further research into the full impact of DES exposure, and advocating for improved screening, monitoring and healthcare support for those who are affected by DES.

Everything we do is currently delivered by volunteers who generously give their time, expertise and commitment to the campaign.

How Your Donation Will Help

Funds raised will help us:

• Maintain and develop our website and online resources.
• Produce educational and awareness materials.
• Support public awareness campaigns and events.
• Engage with decision-makers and policymakers.
• Cover essential administration and governance costs.
• Expand our ability to support those seeking information about DES exposure.

Why This Matters

Many people affected by DES have spent decades without answers, support or recognition. Some have only recently discovered their exposure. Others are still searching for information that could help them better understand their own experiences and health history.

By supporting DES Justice UK, you are helping to ensure that those affected are not forgotten and that future generations have access to the information, awareness and support they deserve.

Every contribution, no matter how large or small, will make a difference.

Thank you for your support.
