The Strongest Man I Know Needs Our Help

My dad has always been the rock of our family — the strongest man I know. He’s humble, prideful in the best way, and never one to ask for anything. But right now, he needs us.

Just a short time ago, he went to the hospital thinking it was pneumonia and that he’d be sent home with a breathing treatment and some medication. Instead, that day turned into the scariest of our lives. Doctors diagnosed him with congestive heart failure. During a heart procedure, they discovered a 90% blockage on the left side of his heart and placed a stent.

But that wasn’t the end of it. He was sent home with an external defibrillator — a “Life Vest” — that he must wear 24/7 to keep his heart from stopping. It’s a constant reminder of how fragile things are right now.

While he’s hopeful and determined to heal, he can’t work during this critical time. The cost of heart medications, follow-up appointments, and basic bills is adding up quickly. We — his family — are doing all we can to help, just as he has always done for others.

If you know my dad, you know he would give a stranger his last dime, open his home to someone in need, or give his last heart beats to us kids so we would know his love. As he told us hes going to fight because everything hes ever done in life was for us. He’s the kind of man who always believes “it will work out.” Now, I’m asking this incredible community to help us prove him right.

Any amount you can give will go directly toward keeping him afloat — covering life-saving medication, medical expenses, and household needs — while he focuses on healing his heart.
