Last week, on my mother's 78th birthday, she received the devastating news that she has stage 4 endometrial cancer of the uterus. My mother is known by family and friends as someone who cares greatly for others and for me she has always been the heart of our little family. Seeing her face such a difficult journey is incredibly hard for all of us.
