Support Chase's Fight Against Cancer

About six months ago, I was just beginning to get into a groove of what it felt like to officially be an adult. I had finally finished my degree and had become an official member of the workforce, living with some great friends down in Oregon. As the middle of October approached, I began to get extremely sick. In a span of a few weeks, I felt it was necessary to go to ER. In mid-November, life flipped on its side when I had officially been diagnosed with metastatic testicular cancer. The first step was to make it through four rounds of chemotherapy. While that was tough, my family and I had made it work. My tumors had significantly reduced in size and the markers were trending to a point where it looked like a cure was in sight. However, a couple of months after this treatment my markers started to increase again, meaning that I would need a more intense treatment option. This option is a high-dose chemotherapy with a stem cell transplant. While we are fortunate enough to have great insurance to cover the treatment, our insurance is unable to cover a necessary relocation into the heart of Seattle. This treatment will be tough, and it requires that I am within a certain distance of Fred Hutch Cancer Center. This has left us with few options as the normal housing options are currently waitlisted. Finding a furnished, month-to-month living space for 4-5 months in the middle of Seattle is tricky, and expensive. And it surely was not an expense that we could have anticipated. For this, we will need some help! We are asking for some help from our friends, family, and loved ones to help support us financially in this already difficult time as I pursue to be cured of this life-altering disease. My amazing girlfriend, Maddison, has kindly created this Gofundme and will be managing it for me and my family. She will be sure to keep everyone updated through this page.
