Support Charles: A Loving Community Member in Need

Many of you know Charles as a jovial and enthusiastic participant at DIY shows in the Chicago area. He is also an acclaimed pianist! Since 2007, he worked as a part-time employee with the Hartzell United Methodist Church near the Bronzeville neighborhood, playing almost every Sunday service and also performed at some funerals, Jazz Christmas services, "Messiah" performances and more. Unfortunately, the church was hit with a severe budget crisis, and he has been laid off from his job, that has been not only a source of joy, but his primary source of income

At his church job, he made approximately $980 a month after taxes. This is how he mainly got the yearly income that came to roughly - $15,000 or so a year. We are fundraising to support him until he can find more work. Charles is a loving and supportive member of our community and he needs our help.
