My sister, Cathy, tragically passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 48. Her loss was completely unexpected, we are all shocked and deeply saddened. Cathy leaves behind her two sons Mathew and Alex DeSousa.

Cathy had the best sense of humour! She was always able to laugh at herself and enjoyed a good practical joke. Her favourite story was when a green cat toy was accidentally blended up in a pina colada. She claimed it added extra flavour and drank it anyway. Cathy’s passion was always for music and movies. Anyone who knew her knows what her collection was like. If you were ever looking for old songs or movies, guaranteed Cathy had it. Cathy was very sentimental when it came to her family. She kept so many pictures close to her. Pictures that brought back such amazing memories.

Cathy worked as a PSW for many years. She always gave of herself, whether it was to her family, her friends, or her clients. She often put others’ needs before her own. She was a proud woman who never wanted to be a burden to anyone.
