Hi! My name is Carlie Werner and I am finishing up my first year at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I will be going on a medical mission trip this summer with the Humanity and Hope United Foundation. H&H works with 5 communities in Honduras with a primary mission of bringing hope to the communities and helping them achieve their goals. To read more about their mission, visit the following link:
My classmates and I will be attending this trip with residents and physicians from the Ascension St. Vincent medical group! Our goal this year is to educate the communities on chronic health disease prevention and management. With the help of medical professionals located in Honduras, as well as those we are joining from Ascension St. Vincent, we will visit 5 different communities and provide care to those who have limited access to healthcare. In addition, we will be extending our compassion to the kids in these communities and creating activities focused around regulating emotions and increasing a sense of hope.
I am reaching out to ask for your support. Your donation will cover essential costs of the trip such as airfare, housing, meals, and transportation. I have also created an amazon wishlist if you prefer to donate that way! Any support is appreciated:)
