Rally for Karla: Helping a Beloved Convenience Store Manager Rebuild Her Life

Our dear friend and longtime Store Manager, Karla, a familiar smiling face to many of us for an incredible 26 years, is facing the unimaginable. We, her work family, are launching this GoFundMe to humbly ask for your support in helping her reclaim her life from a series of devastating blows.

In early 2024, Karla received the life-altering news of a cancer diagnosis. The intensive treatment that followed, while necessary, forced her to miss a significant amount of work, severely impacting her income. As if battling this illness wasn't enough, she was hit with a cascade of unavoidable and costly home repairs – a new roof, furnace, and AC unit – none of which were covered by insurance. These expenses, coupled with her mounting medical bills, created an insurmountable financial burden.

Tragically, these overwhelming circumstances led to Karla losing her cherished home and all of her possessions. She had nowhere to store her belongings, and the place she knew as sanctuary was gone.

Despite this immense hardship, Karla's spirit and dedication remain unbroken. She continues to be the hardworking manager we all know and respect, even picking up overnight 3rd shifts to serve her Convenience store community. Heartbreakingly, Karla is currently homeless, finding moments of rest in her car during the sweltering Southern Tennessee days before heading back to work.

Karla has always been a pillar of strength and kindness for us and her customers. She’s poured her heart into her work and her community for over two decades. Now, in her time of desperate need, we want to show her that she is not alone.

Karla holds strong in her faith, believing that brighter days are ahead. We, her Convenience store team and coworkers, are determined to be the answer to those prayers.
