PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR CARBONDALE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL'S FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA TRIP TO THE FBLA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE & COMPETITION!

The Carbondale Community High School's FBLA program has 17 students who qualified for the FBLA National Leadership Conference & Competition that takes place this summer in Orlando, Florida!

We are seeking donations from local businesses, community leaders, families, friends, and individual supporters to help cover the transportation and hotel costs to attend this prestigious competition. A 501(c)3 Tax Deductible write off is available; see below for special instructions*

HOW WE GOT HERE:
In April, CCHS took 36 students to the 75th FBLA State Leadership Conference in Springfield, Illinois. They competed against over 2,000 Illinois students in 30 different events, and placed Top 10 in 27 of them, including THREE 1st PLACE STATE CHAMPIONS. The Top 4 scorers in each event qualify for Nationals and CCHS has 17 National Qualifiers!

The students and events CCHS qualified in includes:
Sydney Davis - Visual Design
Raeda Abnnur - Word Processing
Theodore Martin - Journalism
Olivia Mathias - Business Communication
Danial Pitafi - Impromptu Speaking
Olivia Mathias, Sydney Davis & Isabelle Hou - Local Chapter Annual Business Report
Arturo Almanza-Martinez - Public Speaking
Robert Wigfall & Grant Hertzing - Business Ethics
Gil Powers & Bill Xu - Coding & Programming
Laila Al-Asfour - Intro to Business Procedures
Jonas Goodson & Jooyoung Lee - Intro to Programming
Emily Edwards - Marketing
Isabelle Hou - Parlimentary Procedure
Emily Yarbro - Public Policy & Advocacy
Awaab Alkhatim - Spreadsheet Applications

While the chapter has already raised enough this year to cover the Registration Fees ($200 per student), and will continue to fundraise through June, the hotel rooms and transportation costs (charter bus or flight, whichever is cheaper) for approximately 15 students and 2 Advisors is projected to be about $800 per person. This does not include meals, snacks, local (Uber) transportation needs, etc. Therefore, your help is so important to ensure these students have this amazing opportunity to go without the financial burden it may put on families.

Any donation amount is truly appreciated by the students, advisors, and parents who are all so proud of their kids and the events they have prepared for throughout the year.
