Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my nephew Calvin — a bright, brave, and sweet 15-month-old boy who has recently been diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a rare form of liver cancer.

What began as a routine doctor’s visit for constipation and a firm spot on his tummy quickly turned into something unimaginable. His doctors discovered an 11cm tumor on his liver. Calvin has already begun his first round of chemotherapy, and while the road ahead will be challenging, his care team is hopeful and optimistic about his response to treatment.

His parents, Karly and Derrick, are doing everything they can to stay strong and fully present for Calvin and his 4-year-old sister Olive. But as you can imagine, this journey comes with significant emotional and financial strain.

This fundraiser is to help ease that burden, allowing Karly and Derrick to focus entirely on what matters most: Calvin’s healing, comfort, and care.
