Help Brenda Mayo & Family Recover from Flood

Don protégé

On Saturday, July 20, Brenda Mayo and her family (her beloved Aunt Scottie and brother Al) lost almost everything including furniture, household goods, medications, some clothing, home decor and more when their apartment flooded during the afternoon storm. You may have seen footage on WCBI.

Brenda (Mama Mayo to many), Aunt Scottie and Al are safe - and this is most important and we are grateful. But they are unable to move back into their apartment and are going to need assistance setting up a new home. They are in the process of assessing their losses and creating a list of their greatest needs. But we wanted to get this fund started because their needs are immediate.

They are currently staying in a hotel, with the room covered through Monday night. They will likely need a few more days while they secure a new place to live and even the most basic furniture (someplace to sit and sleep) for that new place.

If you know Brenda then you know her heart - it is larger than most. She cares about her family, her friends and the strangers walking down the street. Even when times are tough she has a smile to share and a song in her heart - and most of the time a song on her lips as well.

She takes care of so many others, and now she needs our help to take care of her. If you can make a donation, please do so. If you think you have items she may need that you could donate me that is great. We will post a list here very soon, or you can contact me (Pattye Archer) on FB and I will give you more information.

Thank you.
